The St. Joseph Prep Hawks broke into the win column Saturday night defeating North Jersey’s St Peter’s Prep 55-20 in a game played at Rutgers University.

The Hawks were led to victory by Jr. QB Samaj Jones.

Jones broke the school record for most passing yards in a game at 421 on 12 of 14 passing. In fact, Jones broke the record in the first half where he threw for 380. Frank Costa held the previous record of 370. Jones also broke the school record for touchdown passes in a game with 7 and for good measure added another score on the ground.

The nationally ranked Hawks will take on Erasmus Hall from New York in their next inter-state high school football battle this weekend.
