Some key figures for the Philadelphia region relate to the overall fall in unemployment from 101,914 unemployed in February 2021 to 63,087 unemployed in February 2022, bringing down the unemployment rate from 10.1 percent to 6.2 percent over 12 months.
Total Nonfarm employment (in departments such as mining, transportation, education, hospitality, etc) also grew from about 893,000 to 943,500, representing an increase in the employment rate.
