We Walk PHL in Tacony Creek Park

Join your neighbors every Saturday morning for a healthy and empowering stroll on the Tacony Creek Park trail as a part of We Walk PHL. The trail is a paved, fairly flat Circuit Trail; all ages and abilities are encouraged to join this free walking group. Firefly Fireworks

Enjoy an evening visit to our meadow and an explosive display brought to us by our state insect…the firefly. Also known as lightning bugs, these fascinating creatures light up the Andorra Meadow with bioluminescence. Bring a blanket and bug jar. We will also listen for night singing insects, and look out for bats. All ages welcome. While we cannot guarantee a spectacular bioluminescent performance, it will be an enjoyable night hike surrounded by nature. View additional information and find tickets.

Did you know that FDR is the only park with publicly accessible lakes and an active boating program? Come see for yourself by joining the Fairmount Park Conservancy‘s evening guided kayak tour of the three connected bodies of water: Pattison Lagoon, Edgewood Lake, and Hollander Creek. FDR Park Plan Walk and Talk

Exciting changes are coming to FDR Park over the next several years. Join us for an approximately 2 hour tour (with many stops) to learn more about how the FDR Park Plan’s two main zones–the Ecological Core and Urban Edge–will balance nature, water, and human activity into one unified, climate resilient system.
